Q: Is there a charge for classes?
CaseLearns classes are free of charge to current Case faculty, students and staff, emeriti faculty, alumni, Senior Scholars, and CIM conservatory faculty and students.
Non-Case registrants will be charged $100 per class if seats are available. A check made payable to “Case Western Reserve University” needs to be submitted to the instructor on the day of the scheduled class. Credit cards are not accepted.
The No-Show Policy applies to all registrants who fail to cancel in advance of the scheduled class.
Q: How do I register for CaseLearns classes?
Online registration is preferred and the most up-to-date source for class changes and cancellations. If a class appears in print and not online, chances are it was cancelled. Refer to the CaseLearns blog for up-to-date changes. If you are having difficulty with the online registration system, please call Library Administration @ 216-368-2992.
Q: Where are classes taught?
Classes are taught in Kelvin Smith Library, Room 215 unless otherwise noted.
Q: Do you provide computers for hands-on practice during the classes?
Our electronic classrooms provide hands-on training. A maximum of 16 computers are available.
Q: Do these classes have pre-requisites?
Most classes do not have pre-requisites but the assumption is made that students have a working knowledge of their operating systems as well as experience using a web browser. Classes which list pre-requisites will assume that the students enrolling meet the minimum requirements.
