Digital Case Collections provide online access to historical and rare materials from the physical collections of Kelvin Smith Library, as well as digital archives and collections contributed by faculty members and other Case libraries. Our initial collections include WPA Prints in Special Collections, KSL Digital Books Collection, Classics Slides Collection, and the United Nations Commission of Experts for the Investigation of Atrocities in the Former Yugoslavia Archives.

Summary: African American Scholars at Case is a digital initiative that focuses on the presence of African Americans at Case Western Reserve University since its inception. The project seeks to preserve and make widely available information about the contributions of African Americans to the University and to both the local and global communities. The exhibit is based on Profile of
Distinguished Black Alumni at Case Western Reserve University, published by Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs (Retired), Gwendolyn G. Johnson. The project is a collaborative effort between the Kelvin Smith Library, Ms. Johnson, and the University Archives.

Summary: Case TV, through MediaVision, has developed a comprehensive suite of production services that are designed to capture, edit, encode, store, index, catalog, manage and distribute streaming audio, video and other rich media content to both on and off campus locations. The goal is to enhance to the educational experience by providing learners with the ability to query a web-based
media archive that is searchable, non-linear, on demand and supports the individual needs of the students. Case TV focuses on issues such as campus events, academics, research, student life, staff and other topics related to Case Western Reserve University and the surrounding neighborhood.

Summary: The Samuel Rosenthal Center for Judaic Studies was founded at Case Western Reserve University through a generous endowment grant from the Samuel Rosenthal Foundation. It was established in 1996 to broaden the scope of Case's Jewish Studies curriculum and to strengthen interest in Judaic Studies on campus and throughout the local, national, and international communities.

Summary: Collection of papers produced by the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. The Center's goal is to address the problems of persistent and concentrated urban poverty and is dedicated to understanding how social and economic changes affect low-income communities and their residents. Materials include scholarly articles,
research summaries and tools, and methodologies related to community development, child welfare, public assistance, employment and housing. The primary geographic focus is Cleveland, Ohio and its environs.
