Biography:

As the Associate Director for Academic Engagement in Kelvin Smith Library, I am responsible for many of the operational aspects of the library that you may encounter at KSL, including the Access and Delivery Team, who handle circulation, interlibrary loan, OhioLINK, and reference questions; the Research Services Team, who work with faculty and students on in-depth research questions. They also select the books, journals and electronic resources that the library acquires and licenses for CWRU use. The Acquisitions and Metadata Team acquires new materials for the library, catalogs those new materials that are selected. They also keep track of our thousands of periodical subscriptions, both electronic journals and journals published in paper format. They also manage our online library catalog. All of our various teams are here to help students and faculty, and you should always feel free to contact me or another of my colleagues for assistance.

I have worked at CWRU for over 30 years, and I started as the music librarian, with other positions along the way to the present. Besides my degree in library science, my training is as a musician, and I have an active parallel career as a classical/church organist. In the last few years I have become a regular reviewer of classical music concerts in Cleveland for the web publications ClevelandClassical.com and for the London-based bachtrack.com.

Among many other interests, I also have a very strong passion for technology and electronic gadgets. I've used Macintosh computers since the first one, way back in 1984, up to my current MacBook Air and iPad.

For the record, here's my formal information:
