Humanities Week 2007
The Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities sponsored Humanities Week 2007 at Case Western Reserve University from April 15-20, 2007 with the theme: The Information Society. Kelvin Smith Library hosted three of the events including a presentation by Robert H. Jackson, a well-known collector of rare books, who gave a talk on "Can the Book Survive the Information Revolution?". Following Mr. Jackson's talk was a reception for the participants and the opening of The History of the Book exhibit in the Special Collections Resource Center. The exhibit demonstrated the theme, The History of the book - Always in Transition and was curated by students from Baker-Nord's Associate Director Anne Helmreich's "Visual Arts and Museums" seminar.
