According to the first page in the volume, “this book endeavors to present in pictorial form a record of the work, equipment, and operation of the Cleveland Laboratory. It aims to outline some of its accomplishments, and point out certain desired objectives which while temporarily abandoned due to force of circumstances, may serve as a guide for future development”
