The Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship

The Freedman Center will be upgraded this fall.  Patrons who have saved files on Freedman Center computers should copy their data onto their own portable devices or risk losing it during this process.


‌‌‌Use of the Freedman Center is limited to CWRU students, staff, faculty, and alumni, CIA students, staff, and faculty, and CIM students and faculty.  Please show your ID to the worker at the desk when entering.

Located on the first floor of KSL, the Freedman Center is a partnership between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Kelvin Smith Library. Established in 2005, with over 2,700 square feet of highly functional workspace and state-of-the-art equipment, the Freedman Center harnesses the power of modern technology and combines it with the driver of academic creativity.
