Language Faculty Resources

Faculty teaching all levels of language, literature, and culture can help their students become lifelong language learners by assigning them with tasks that use the multimedia communication and production tools found in the Freedman Center. Our services include:

Freedman Center Resources

• A state-of-the-art multimedia center featuring teleconferencing equipment and software for talking with native speakers, film viewing stations, and all the equipment needed to interact with and create multimedia projects.
• Technical and pedagogical support to assist faculty in integrating technology in their language and literature courses.

Online Resources

• The easy-to-use Online Language Learning Center (OLLC) provides faculty with the ability to assign students with listening, speaking, and viewing assignments.

• Our two language learning and cultural exchange wikis provide a listing of online language learning sites, links to international media, and other links of interest to language learners, international students, and all those who enjoy experiencing international cultures. Instructors can visit the wiki to find great supplementary learning materials for their students.
