Databases
Current databases are selected & licensed specifically for Alumni Choice members and are intended to support personal reading and growth. Databases on campus for faculty, students, &staff have academic licenses and are not included—however, the databases listed below are addendum licenses created specifically for alumni access.
- Academic Search Alumni Edition: 8,000 journals (40% full text online, 86% peer-reviewed) & 240 other sources (200 fulltext) for emerging research from university press titles, for critical studies from associations such as ACM Computing Surveys, AIAA, American Bar Association, and premier titles from Lancet, Elsevier Science, and other titles your local library may not be able to offer you... - The Times (London) Digital Archive 1785-1985: complete 200 years of graphics, advertisements & text, for all disciplines.
- CINAHL: nursing/allied health, 1 million records 1982->, indexes 2,737 journals
- Environment Index: 1,957,000 records from more than 1,700 domestic and international titles going back to the 1940s. Also features an in-depth thesaurus, and author profiles for 6,500 authors in the discipline.
- Humanities International Index: 1.6 million records, abstracts for 1,700+ journals, books, reference sources
- SocINDEX: 530 priority sociology journals indexed, plus 640 core journals from 1895; 1.6 million records, thesaurus-based

Local Borrowing Privileges & Services
If you live in Ohio, the KSL Alumni borrower card gives you local borrowing at KSL & MSASS libraries on campus, plus limited courtesy borrowing privileges from the OhioLINK consortia catalog. Read about local & OhioLINK general borrowing privileges, library hours & more...
Enjoy using new skills learned in CaseLearns classes, then go to the Freedman Center in KSL to experiment with digital technologies & practice web, scanning, language skills with in-house equipment. If you have a project but not enough time, take advantage of the Freedman Center's Premium Services for AV, scanning, and other media services!
How Do I Subscribe & Become An Alumni Choice Member?
Subscribe and pay the annual $95 fee via a membership application via the Case Alumni Relations Office. (Note: you'll apply for a Case network ID and password, if you have not had one previously) Applications are processed Mon.-Fri. and library confirmations are sent within 2 business days with logon information. We'll see you online!
Databases are licensed for alumni personal interests & growth, and are not intended for employment or commercial endeavors; ILLiad privileges are not used as a substitute for a journal subscription.
