KSL Course Reserves offers Faculty a means to add supplemental teaching and reference material for course instruction. Materials on reserve have defined circulation periods as designated by the instructor and are available for checkout during KSL's Main Service Desk Hours. Faculty looking to add supplement electronic material may do so in BlackBoard.
If a faculty member would like a TA or graduate assistant to request items for reserve, an email should be sent to smithreserve@case.edu with the Course number the student is to have access to and the student’s name and network Id. Instructions on how to add items as a TA will be sent to the student. The instructor and student will be notified when this process is complete.
KSL Course Reserve accepts books, media and personal copies of items. Request to purchase
items not found in the campus collection are also accepted. Materials from any
of the Campus Libraries are eligible except: reference material and items housed at CIA, CIM or Allen Library.
Loan Rules, Loan Exceptions and Renewals
All Course Reserve items are assigned a loan rule designated by the Instructor of the primary course. Loan rules range from 2 hours to 7 days, however there are a few exceptions considered on a case by case basis.
