Supporting language learning and cultural exchange through innovative technology at Case Western Reserve University

Language Learning Services in the Freedman Center provides:

• A virtual language lab for students enrolled in courses in Case's Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Enter the lab here!
• Language learning stations equipped with region-free VCRs and DVD players capable of playing movies from all over the world, video conferencing software and webcams, and audio recording programs.
• Knowledgeable and up-to-date advice on using technology in language teaching and learning.

Self-Study and Cultural Exchange Wikis Now Available!

Our new online language learning resource wiki provides some of the best self-directed language learning and foreign language media links available on the web.

Our cultural exchange wiki connects foreign language learners, international students, and others interested in cultural exchange.

Our ESL learners' forum presents international students, staff, and faculty with information about ESL resources available both on campus and via the Internet. It also provides ESL learners with an opportunity to connect with each other and share their resources and success stories. To access the information in the forum, you must register by:

1. Go to http://forum.case.edu.
   
2. Click "Log In" at the top right corner.
   
3. Once logged in, click "My Control Center", also in the top right corner.
   
4. Click "View and Join Groups" from the menu on the left.
   
5. Select "ESL Learners" from the pull-down menu and click "Join".
