Who We Are
Case Libraries' rich collections are supplemented by unmediated user requesting from the academic consortium's OhioLINK Central Catalog. When Case and OhioLINK materials are not available, staff provide the needed materials from a wide variety of academic, government, corporate, and special libraries around the globe.
Access Services offers ILLiad, a real-time tracking system on the web, so that Case researchers can request and track the status of those needed items. Staff manage the system to choose lending libraries for the requested materials, and to respond in kind to libraries requesting our materials, thus establishing strong reciprocal partners for Kelvin Smith Library's future borrowing activities. ILLiad staff specialize in electronic article delivery directly to the Case researcher, and actively encourage and help to build a growing network of ILLiad and Odyssey electronic partner libraries.
Kelvin Smith Library is an OCLC library (CWR) and supports resource sharing requests from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Case School of Engineering, the Weatherhead School of Management, and university general administration.
