Visitors are welcome to use the library for research purposes during Regular Business Hours.
During Evening hours, please press the Intercom at the main door & show an ID as you enter.
Fall Semester Regular Business Hours (classes in session)
- Mondays -Thursdays: 8:00 a.m.-Midnight**
- Fridays: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.**
- Saturdays: 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Sundays: Noon - Midnight**
* Desk transactions with library staff conclude 15 minutes prior to the close of Regular Business Hours.
* Reference hours vary from building hours, please check ahead of time
* The Freedman Center opens at 9:00 a.m. M-Sat, & is open during KSL Regular Business Hours.
Checkout online instead of in-a-line! Use your Case ID card to check out KSL books at the KSL SelfCheckout machine to save time. Activate your Case ID card with at least one traditional checkout (staff scans your Case ID) at any Case library circulation desk, and then you can use KSL SelfCheckout at any time of day...or night!
Children under 16 must be accompanied at all times by an adult

Case buildings use automated card-swipe door access during evening hours. KSL's Main Door Intercom provides Visitor access with ID during Regular Business hours:
- Case Faculty, Students, Staff—use your Case ID in the main door card reader.
- Visitors—press the intercom at the Main Door. Staff will release the door for you. Present a photo ID to staff upon entering the building.
Note: Affiliate libraries are autonomous institutions whose ID cards are not magnetized for our card readers unless there is dual student/employee status at Case—simply press the intercom for entrance, showing your ID to staff as you enter.
Exceptions to Regular Business Hours—Thanksgiving Holiday
- Wed., Nov. 25: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. No 24x7
- Thurs., Nov. 26: Closed No 24x7
- Fri., Nov. 27: 9:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. No 24x7
- Sat., Nov. 28: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. [24x7 resumes at close of Reg. Bus. Hours, 5:31 p.m.]
- Sun., Nov. 29: Noon-Midnight. Regular Business Hours & 24x7 in effect...
