Classroom Reservation Policy
Scheduling
- Events in the classrooms are scheduled and coordinated by the KSL Administration Office.
- Classrooms are available for training, web-based demonstrations, library/information literacy instruction, film viewing and other uses deemed appropriate by KSL Administration.
Use of Rooms
- Classrooms may be reserved by faculty or staff for purposes listed above. Faculty must be present or have a designee in their place for use of equipment within the classrooms.
- Classrooms will not be reserved for non-Case or unsupervised student groups.
Room Setup & Equipment
- Classrooms LL06 and 215 are Level 2 Technology Enhanced Classrooms. Each classroom has video projection systems with touch screen controls, VCR/DVD units, a Document Camera, Dell PCs with Windows XP [each classroom has 16 student PCs], and a whiteboard.
- Classroom LL01 is a Level 1 Technology Enhanced Classroom. This classroom has a video projection system with control panel, a VCR/DVD unit, whiteboard, and the ability to connect a laptop to the projection system. Furniture within this classroom is mobile and can be arranged as needed. Seating capacity is limited to 12 students plus instructor.
- Any additional equipment requirements are the responsibility of the group reserving the classrooms and need to be noted on the reservation form.
- Specific software requirements need to be noted on the reservation form. All requests for software downloads need to be approved by the KSL Technology Support personnel.
Access
- Administration staff will make arrangements with Case Security to deactivate the door alarm for entry into the classroom.
Additional Policies
- Food and drinks are NOT permitted in any of the classrooms. Violation of this policy will result in loss of reservation privileges for future events.
- KSL Administration reserves the right to pre-empt existing reservations if the rooms are needed for library functions. We will do our best to provide alternative accommodations.
To request a room, please fill out the online reservation form. A confirmation will be sent to the contact person listed on the form.
