Case Libraries and OhioLINK Acceptable Use Policy for Electronic Resources
AUTHORIZED USERS:
Students, faculty, staff, and walk-in library users of participating Ohio academic institutions.
AUTHORIZED USE:
Electronic resources are available for individual educational and research purposes. Generally:
- You may use these resources and view items on screen.
- You may print a copy of any record retrieved as a result of an information search.
- You may store on floppy disk or hard drive any record retrieved as part of your search, and later display it on screen or print it on paper.
Unacceptable uses include but are not limited to the following.
You may not:
- systematically transmit (either on paper or electronically) content from electronic resources to anyone not involved in education or research at an OhioLINK institution.
- use resources for unauthorized commercial purposes.
- use resources for any purpose which violates federal or state laws.
- use resources in a manner that is disrespectful or intimidating to others
| These examples offer general, common sense guidelines for acceptable use of licensed materials. Most resources carry an online copyright notice or other detailed statement of specific terms and conditions. A resources' own statement takes precedence over these general guidelines. The Case Libraries maintain the right to restrict the access of any person who abuses these guidelines. If you have questions about a specific database, please consult its online notice. |
