The Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship provides the campus of Case Western Reserve University a unique, technology-rich space featuring multimedia software and hardware to scan, digitize analog materials, edit audio and video, print, and much more. Multimedia Student Assistants (MSAs) in the Freedman Center are responsible for providing a range of multimedia support including general customer assistance, photo & poster printing, and scanning for digitization projects. Employees frequently use multimedia-related tools including video and audio editing software, scanners, large format printers, and Adobe products such as Acrobat and Photoshop.
During scheduled shifts, MSAs will provide assistance to patrons who need help using the technology within the Freedman Center, conduct intake of poster drop offs, as well as print posters using large format printers. These employees will also work on departmental projects and tasks including digitization of materials for Digital Case and Premium Services as assigned. Prompt reporting of issues with software and hardware to managers is expected.
Hourly Rate: $10.00
Hours Needed: 8-10 hours per week; availability of day, evening, and weekends

The notation "Siegal" in the online catalog refers to the Aaron Garber Library of the Siegal College of Judaic Studies at 26500 Shaker Blvd. Cleveland OH 44122. The Aaron Garber Library is the academic library of the College and the central library of the Cleveland Jewish community. It includes 30,000 volumes, plus periodicals, language tapes, music and text CDs in English, Hebrew and Yiddish. The Library's electronic catalog is part of the online library system managed by Case Western Reserve University, and is included in OhioLINK, the statewide electronic academic catalog system.
